SENIOR NESSAC GOLF

Wednesday September 15, 2021 (Alternate is September 17)
Location:  Evergreen Golf Course - Nipawin  Cost: $25/golfer to be paid by coach upon arrival
Time: 9:30 am coaches meeting, followed by players meeting then 10:00 am tee off (shotgun start)

Leave HBCS @  7:15  Range balls $5/bucket, range will be open to athletes

The morning will be cold (low of 0; high of 22)... so dress in layers.  Please dress as a golfer should. They ask for NO jeans – track pants or dress pants Hats Toques, gloves or mitts  and winter gear are encouraged.  Be sure your jackets are warm yet allow you to swing your clubs naturally.

  • Allowed to use a pull cart

  • Etiquette/Rules – Please see attached general rules sheet as well information on Nipawin Evergreen Golf Course hazards.

  • HAVE ALL OF YOUR GOLF EQUIPMENT ACCOUNTED FOR – 13 Maximum Clubs, Balls, Tees, Divot Repair Tools and Markers – BEFORE THE MORNING!!  There are lots of trees in Nipawin and new courses are tricky ...If you run out of balls on the course, you are disqualified.

  • Go online and find out what the course is like!  You can also download Golflogic’s app but it only works on phones with data.  There may be another that works with GPS – I have heard Mobitee but GolfLogix is what I use.  Players’ cell phones should be turned off and put away during the round of golf, the only exception is if they are using a distance measuring app, but this must be cleared through me before it will be allowed.

  • Green Fees paid to Mrs. Myhr as we leave $25.00

  • Driving Range and Lunch = Extra $

  • Bring some money for food or bring your own lunch.  You have to be prepared to eat as you golf.  This means no stopping for a sit down meal.

  • Driving range (at a cost $5.00)and Putting greens (for free) are available. When we get there go and warm up with your team.  This means stretch, chip, putt and/or driving range.  I will be at a coach’s meeting and won’t be able to direct you but certainly expect that you will loosen up with your team.

  • The RCGA rules will be in effect along with locally implemented rules.  Please spend some time beforehand,  talking about how 'provisional balls' are to be played and how to mark scores accordingly as well as no "gimmes" and that the ball must be putted out

  • Review and remember the etiquette of noise/distractions while players are attempting to shoot, how to properly fix divots on the fairways, and repairing ball marks on the greens.  Remind players that they are to have their cell phones turned "off" while on the course, if they are not and their fellow competitors complain of ringing or buzzing or being distracted by a phone, that player may be removed from competition. You may use a range finding app!

  • You will golf all day so if you need extra food or drinks, please prepare yourselves.

  • This is a team event.   All scores will be added together to get a team score.  The lowest team score will win Jr NESSAC!  There is also recognition for top individual

Provincial Golf Roathern September 24-25

  •  NESD Teams will be made up of the 4 lowest scores.  There is one boys team and one girls team.
