Inducted 2008 - Athletics Builder

Keith's career as a Canadian Football League Official, along with his community involvement and promotion of athletics and healthy lifestyles, have led to his success as an athletic builder.

Contribution as an official:

  • Officiation five years with CFL, including Grey Cup officiation
  • Officated numerous Western University play-off games and one Canadian Junior Championship (The Canadian Bowl
  • Was training chairman for the Edmonton Football Officials Association for six years
  • In 2004 he won the Harold Ferguson Football Officials Award for promoting, enhancing and furthering excellence in football

Promotion of athletics and healthy lifestyles:

  • Initiated the first High School football team in Fort Saskatchewan
  • Active in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan in organizing amateur football refereeing
  • Coached football seven years and softball for four
  • Recipient of the J. Percy Page Recreation Award for Recreational Leadership in Alberta communities
  • Completed Birkenbeiner Cross Country Marathon in 1999
  • Member of the 2000 organizing committee for the Trans Canada Trail Relay, setting pace on his bicycle and receiving a medal of special recognition for his work
  • Four year member on the River Valley Alliance Committee, developing a trail system and recreation valley from Fort Saskatchewan to Devon, alberta, a length of 88 km
  • Five years organizing the five K run in Fort Saskatchewan
  • Thirteen years as a Boy Scout leader
  • An avid cross country and downhill skier, Keith volunteers as a Ski Patroller at Rabbit Hill in Edmonton

As a proponent of athletics and positive lifestyle, Keith has set an outstanding example for his family, his community and his alma mater.
