L. P.
Miller Comprehensive School is located in the town of Nipawin,
Saskatchewan, Canada. The students at our school range from grade 7 to
12. We have many special programs on offer for the students of Nipawin
and surrounding area.
Practical
and Applied Arts courses include Machining, Electrical, Welding,
Carpentry, Automotive, Computers, Theatre Arts and Foods. We have many
specialized labs to accommodate exciting programs. Students from our
school compete in the Skills Canada Competition.
We are
the home of the Bears, our sports teams provide much excitement. We have
a newly completed sports training facility as a part of our physical
education and sports programs.
L. P.
Miller (Len P. Miller) was the secretary treasurer of the Nipawin School
Division no. 61. The building itself was finished construction in 1969,
and was dedicated to Mr. L.P. Miller in 1970, when the school opened.
Funding for the construction of the school was provided by the
Government of Saskatchewan, the Government of Canada, and the Nipawin
School District.
