Principal's Message

Welcome to the Carrot River Elementary School Webpage.  Our goal is to provide visitors to our site with pertinent, valuable and easily accessible information.  Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.  You can also keep up-to-date on school events by visiting us on Facebook.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call the school at (306) 768-2481.

Carrot River Elementary is a Kindergarten to Grade 4 School with a student population of approximately 100.  We currently have a teaching staff of 5.5 and a support staff of 3.5.  We are situated in the Town of Carrot River in North Eastern Saskatchewan.  Carrot River is primarily a farming community as well as a playground for outdoor enthusiasts with easy access to various hunting, fishing, golfing and camping opportunities.

At CRES, we take pride in helping shape positive futures for our students by offering quality education, a culture of excellence and opportunities to practice being the best we can be.  CRES has an open door policy and we value parental and community involvement. We strive to have consistent and effective communication with all of our stakeholders. To find out more about our school please refer to the "Climate and Culture" tab on our website.

Throughout the school year, Carrot River Elementary School staff, and community groups offer a variety of extra-curricular opportunities for our students:   art club, outdoor and indoor soccer programs, basketball, and a volleyball club to name a few.  Our older students are provided with opportunities for intramural activities during noon hour.  Other extra-curricular opportunities available to students in Carrot River include:  dance through Nipawin School of Dance (jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet), gymnastics, hockey, baseball, softball and 4H.

On behalf of myself and my staff at CRES, I welcome everyone to the 2019-20 school year! Together we can make the 2019-2020 school year amazing!
