A Note from Mrs. Pierlot
Dear Central Park Families:
April 6 Update
Learning Support Plans - Remote Learning Begins
Our teachers will be reaching out to you this week to support your child’s
learning in meaningful ways. We are going to begin this new way of remote
learning slowly, as we do not want to overwhelm our students and their
families. We encourage families to communicate with us as we work through this
together. This week, April 6-9, will be a great opportunity to enjoy getting
back to our next steps in learning for our students, before we head into the
Easter break - April 10 - April 19.
At our school, our teachers will be sharing their Learning Support Plans with
you through different platforms:
Class Facebook Page (protected system)
They have chosen a plan which is best for the families they are working with.
Some teachers will be reaching out in more than one way, and also by text or
phone call for our families who do not have internet.
We will also be posting general suggestions and links to literacy activities on
our Central Park Elementary Facebook page, which are helpful to build language,
and grow reading and writing skills for our kids.
We ask for your kindness and patience as we learn more about the best ways to
make remote learning support helpful to our young students. We are grateful for
our students and their families at this time of uncertainty in our world. Our
young students will need their families to guide them through learning, with
our support. We hope the Learning Support Plans from our school will help our
students to continue to grow and learn. We know families can only work on what
they have time for, as some parents and caregivers are working outside their
home, or are working from a home office. Do what your family can.
Please know that if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to connect
Let’s all do our best to stay calm, and stay safe together. Sending you a big
virtual hug (if you could use one) and happy thoughts.
