Thursday, June 11th, 2020: Grade Two Daily Learning Plan                           Please feel free to contact your classroom teacher through Remind with any questions.

1.     ELA:  Go back to your journal entry from Monday OR the super sentences paragraph from yesterday. On a piece of paper write all the NOUNS you can find.

NOUN: a person, place or thing           






2.     Word Skills: Alphabetical order! Print out your list words in alphabetical order.

Long List (20 words to know): play, the, friend, went, don't, said, they, funny, can't, like, teacher, grade, this, school, what, when, today, that, something, people

Short List (consonant digraphs "ch", "sh"): chin, shut, fish, rich, lunch

3. Reading: your goal is to read for at least 20 minutes each day (choose any story from your books at home, EPIC or Raz-Kids)

4. MATH – Handful of addition!

You will need: a large handful of lego bricks or little rocks  - paper and pencil or a white board and marker - your brain

Grab a handful of your lego bricks or little rocks, count them and write that number down. Then grab another smaller handful and count them, write that number down. Now place an addition sign between them and add them together. You have created your own addition question!
