Thursday, June 4th, 2020: Grade Two Daily Learning Plan

Please feel free to contact your classroom teacher through Remind with any questions.

1.     ELA: Find a storybook in your home (or online) that you have read before. Read it again but this time YOU get to change the ending! On a piece of paper write a sentence or two to explain how the author ends the story and then write a paragraph to explain how YOU would end the story differently.

You can use this as a starter:

At the end of ___(story title here)___, they ....(fill in the ending).

If I wrote this story I would have …..(fill in how you would change it).

2. Word Skills: Alphabetical order! Print out your list words in alphabetical order and make the silent letter darker!

Long List (silent letters): write, wrong, wrap, knee, knock, know, knot, climb, thumb, lamb

(Bonus words): knowledge, plumber, wrinkle

Short List (consonant blends): flap, slam, plant, club, black

3. Reading: your goal is to read for at least 20 minutes each day (choose any story from your books at home, EPIC or Raz-Kids)

4. MATH – Practice skip counting out loud. Skip count by 2's (2, 4, 6, 8, 10), by 3's (3, 6, 9, 12, 15), by 4's (4, 8, 12, 16, 20), by 5's (5, 10, 15, 20, 25)
