Thursday, May 21, 2020: Daily Learning Plan for Grade Two
Please be sure to contact your teacher on Remind if there are any questions.

1.   ELA –Writing Super Sentences (adding details to writing)
·         On 8 to 10 small strips of paper, you and/or some family members (Mom. Dad, brother(s), sister(s), grandparents, babysitter, etc.) print a who or a what.
·         Put the who/what strips of paper into a bowl or hat. Shake or mix up the papers.
·         Pull out at least 5 strips of these papers from the container.
·         Write a Super Sentence for each of the who/what papers you pulled.

You can create the chart, or just print your sentences on a piece of paper/whiteboard

2.Word Skills: Print your words neatly, onto the correct page in your Personal Dictionary (sent home with school supplies).

Long List (long "u"): school, moon, gloomy, chew, flew, Andrew, fruit, suit, glue, clue    (bonus words: continue, parachute, shampoo)

Short List (consonant blends): trap, drum, grip, brick, crab

3.  Reading: your goal is to read for at least 20 minutes each day (choose any story from your books at home, EPIC or Raz-Kids).

MATH – counting forward and backwards to 100

1.  Counting forward- print or say the next 5 numbers in the sequence.
