Grade 2 May 14

May 13, 2020

Thursday, May 14th, 2020: Grade Two Daily Learning Plan

Please feel free to contact your classroom teacher through Remind with any questions.

1. ELA: Re-read Hummingbirds on Raz Kids. On a piece of paper, write a summary (a little like a book report) about the story. Remember to use full sentences.

            - You can use this as a starter:  In the story Hummingbirds…….

2. Word Skills: Blue vowels. Print out your list words with all the vowels in blue!

Long List (long "o"): shadow, bowl, throw, toast, goal, soap, cold, folded, joke, remote

(Bonus words: tomorrow, uploading, hopeless)

Short List (consonant blends with "r"): frog, drip, brat, print, crib

3. Reading: your goal is to read for at least 20 minutes each day (choose any story from your books at home, EPIC or Raz-Kids)

4. MATH – Count the windows in your house and send the number to your teacher on Remind. They will count theirs and see if the numbers match! Who has more? Who has less?

Workbook-continue to work on the next two pages (wherever you are in the workbook).

Math Facts – continue to practice using your cards (these should be automatic).
