Wednesday,May 6, 2020: Daily Learning Plan for Grade Two

1.   ELA –Writing Super Sentences (adding details to writing)
Draw the chart or use the words in the chart, to write 7 Super sentences on a piece of paper/chalkboard/whiteboard. The last 2 sentences will come from your who or what!

2.Word Skills: On a piece of paper write your words in alphabetical order (ABC order).

Long List (long "e"): heel, street, feed, peach, feast, teacher, scream, movie, field, piece
(Bonus words: believe, fearlessly, squeezing)
Short List (sk): skin, ask, skill, skunk, skip

3. Reading: your goal is to read for at least 20 minutes each day (choose any story from your books at home, EPIC or Raz-Kids)

MATH – Card Game - Memory

Use decks of playing cards with tens and face cards removed. Place 3 rows of four cards face down on the table. Players turn over two cards at a time. Two cards match if they add to 10. If cards match, they get placed in the discard pile; otherwise, the cards get turned face down again and continue playing. After all the pairs are found, play again by shuffling the cards and placing new ones on the table.

Math Facts – continue to practice using your cards these should be automatic).
