Friday, April 24/20 Daily Learning Plan for Grade Two Please be sure to contact your teacher on Remind if there are any questions. ELA—Word Skills Test  Task 1: Have someone say your spelling words, as you print them on a piece of paper  (“bossy r” words and/or “ck” words) Long List (bossy “r”): smart, winter, sister, girl, hurt, morning, turtle, forest, artist, first
(bonus words: thirsty, sanitizer, janitor) Short List (ck): duck, sock, kick, truck, lock Take a picture of your Test paper using the camera on Remind and send it to your teacher.
 
ELA Skills— Read and Represent. Task 2: Record (voice or picture) your Journal entry from Monday—My Playhouse or My Fort. Choose at least one way to show a representation of your fort/ playhouse. Use Remind to send a picture to your teacher.  drawing or coloring a picture (can use your drawing from Monday)  build a model using recycled materials (ie. cereal boxes, toilet paper rolls, etc.).  build a Lego model   create a sheet/blanket/furniture fort  your own idea
 
Math  Card Game: Go For 10—Remove face cards. Lay 20 cards face up. Each player takes turns removing two cards that add up to 10. Try to remove as many cards from the table as possible. Math facts- using your flashcards (that you’ve already made in the past few weeks), shuffle your cards and practice these facts. Challenge yourself: time yourself for one minute, see how many facts you can do correctly. Shuffle your flashcards and try it again, timing yourself for one minute.  Which facts do you still need to practice? Remember: all of these facts should be almost automatic.  Workbook-continue to work on the next two pages (wherever you are in the workbook). ​
