Tuesday, April 21st: Daily Learning Plan for Grade Two Please be sure to contact your teacher on Remind if there are any questions. ELA 1. Robert Munsch story Playhouse (this tab is in grade 2 classroom pages on CPES website) Listen to the story again (follow along if you have the book or watch a Youtube Story time by Nana)    Draw a picture and write a sentence about the beginning, middle and end of the story (or tell someone in your family)
 
2. Word Skills: read your word list out loud (to yourself or someone in your family), and then write a sentence that uses a spelling word. Do this for at least 7 of the spelling words. Maybe you can write a sentence that has 2 spelling words in it! Underline the spelling work in the sentence. Long List (bossy “r”): smart, winter, sister, girl, hurt, morning, turtle, forest, artist, first (bonus words: thirsty, sanitizer, janitor) Short List (ck): duck, sock, kick, truck, lock
 MATH Card Game: Salute (2 players) Remove kings, queens and jacks. Deal all the cards face down into 2 piles. Take turns being the Judge. When the judge says “Salute” the other player puts a card on their forehead without looking at it and the judge puts a card face up on the table and announces the total of those two cards. The other player tries to guess what number their card is on their forehead based on the card on the table and the sum that the judge told them.
 
Math facts-continue to create your own flashcards for addition and subtraction facts for 15 and 16. (See Thursday, April 9 plan for more details on how to construct these cards).
